Reading is free. Posting, replies, review submissions, profile images, and basic Labs, CTF, and Hackathon submissions are free for active accounts with verified email and two-factor authentication. Every event follows the same staff review before publication, whether or not you pay.
Both membership terms include custom beetle badge artwork and your choice of acid, cyan, or amber accent. Your badge reads Supporter or Backer to match your current membership record. Membership helps sustain hosting, maintenance, and moderation; it does not buy editorial influence.
Organizer pilot unavailable: private draft saving, event copying, and reusable organizer defaults are not currently offered. Do not purchase membership expecting these tools.
Professional organizer privileges require current membership, independent organizer review, and sufficient accepted contributions or a current veteran-staff vouch, alongside account requirements. You may apply before paying; money does not buy reputation or approval. Qualified organizers receive a staff-reviewed organizer label and may submit longer descriptions within the editor's limit. New event descriptions longer than 10,000 characters require current qualified professional eligibility.
Banner placements are a separate, paid option for qualified organizers, with independently reviewed creative on their own member profile and the shared Labs & Events Community Showcase. Up to six overlapping campaigns share that slot fairly. Calendar terms are one, three, or twelve months, with exact dates shown before purchase and no automatic renewal. No guaranteed views, clicks, or results.
Current membership and trust eligibility remain required throughout the campaign. Sponsorship does not extend membership. Before purchasing, allow for separate membership costs for the whole campaign. If membership lapses, banner display stops even if paid campaign time remains.

No. Reading is free. With an active account, verified email, and two-factor authentication, basic posting, replies, review submissions, profile images, and basic event submissions are free too. Reviews and events follow the same staff approval process whether or not you pay.
The duration: 365 days instead of 30. The Backer badge has a second circuit frame around the beetle. Both memberships include the same member benefits: a custom beetle badge, three accent choices, and the organizer tools only while the pilot is enabled. A longer term is not organizer approval. Neither buys influence over ratings or moderation.
Your supporter badge and membership accents end; private draft saving, event copying, and organizer-default updates stop. Your saved work is not erased. While the organizer pilot remains enabled, you can still read your saved drafts and defaults and make complete event submissions within the free limits. Free participation continues while your account meets the same active-account, verified-email, and two-factor requirements. Approved events, including already approved longer descriptions, remain public unless withdrawn, cancelled, or the account is no longer active and eligible. You can still submit ordinary edits or cancel your own listings. Paid banners have separate terms and stop displaying when the campaign ends or membership or trust eligibility lapses.
No automatic renewal. This is a one-time payment for the term you choose. If you choose to renew, you create a new invoice. The purchased days are added after your current membership expiry, or start from activation if your membership has ended. The latest purchased plan determines your badge immediately when activated, even when earlier paid time remains.
After a payment matches your account-linked invoice and reaches the required network confirmation. A wallet screenshot or clicking Send is not confirmation. Keep your invoice and transaction reference if a payment needs review.
Use one direct native ETH transfer on Ethereum mainnet for the exact amount on your invoice. Tokens, internal contract transfers, bridged assets, and other EVM networks are not supported. Network fees are separate. Split, short, excess, late or duplicate transfers require a private payment assistance claim from your dashboard and manual reconciliation. Submitting a claim or changing its status does not automatically issue a refund or activate benefits.
